Blessed Star Stream
General Information
Benoit Hoshikawa (Benoît meaning “blessed”, Hoshikawa meaning “star stream”) is a 19 year old male of French and Japanese descent. He is a male with dark, almost black navy blue hair, bright blue eyes that seem at times to glow whenever the male is having fun, and rather pale skin. He can normally be found dressed in a white shirt over black pants, a dark blue striped vest, a large blue bow tie, and an oversized black coat. As accessories, he wears a long, wide ribbon tied into a bow as a belt, short boots with white spats, and black gloves with claws embedded at the fingertips. His coat is long, with a wide collar and a single button, large enough to frequently fall over one shoulder. At its hem, it takes a balloon-like form, and is joked to float "through some mysterious power." Its sleeves are someone based on those of a furisode kimono. To his belt, he straps the Star of Alchemy, as well as a pair of knives. While he may occasionally wear other outfits, this is the main one he can be found wearing when out in public.Benoît is a rather eccentric person, usually acting rather dramatic in a way that most would find “annoying” or “infuriating”. This is because, due to him being the reason that his parents are gone, he wants to push away people to prevent them from getting to close to himself, as, while he may be excited to have his Fullbring, he doesn’t fully trust himself with using it around people that he’s close too.Of course, if he does ever get close to someone, he tends to mellow out more, not being able to keep the act up all the time and at least wanting to form connections with those that show interest in being his friend, setting aside his fear for once.
Abilities
Manipulating Souls:As a Fullbringer, Benoît has the ability to manipulate the souls of objects. This ability allows him to manipulate the objects around him to achieve various effects, for example, pulling on the soul of a lamp post would allow him to stay grounded, while pulling on the soul of water would allow him to stand on the liquid as if it was solid.High-Speed Movement:By pulling on the soul of the ground under his feet, Benoît is able to achieve high speed movement, allowing him to move faster than the human body is normally able to do. While Benoît’s speed isn’t on the level of say, Quincies and Soul Reapers, it does still let him move pretty fast for a human.Fullbring: Star De L’alchimieStar de L'alchimie ( Star of Alchemy ), is a Fullbring that takes the appearance of a blue leather bound clockwork grimoire that can be fastened to the user by a chain. The clockwork appearance of the book often gives the allusion that the Fullbring is turn based, when it’s true ability is in fact something entirely different. In truth, this Fullbring allows its wielder to manipulate the chemical formulas written on the blackened pages of the grimoire in question (ie. Manipulating the earth, causing explosions, etc.). This allows the user to create many kinds of strange phenomena, such as manipulating the human body to heal injuries, manipulating the air to form ice, and many moreThe main limitation that comes with this book is that the user can only choose up to three techniques to use per day. While the techniques can be repeated throughout the day, no more than three may be chosen to not overexert ones energy.
